Heavenly delight for Mugabe
Almighty God has announced an 85 year extension to the tyrannical rule of Robert Mugabe - the man he appointed to the Zimbabwe Presidency in 1980.
Speaking from the Gates of Heaven, The Lord Above unveiled a proposal that will see the re-elected President lead Zimbabwe for a further 17 terms.

"I am well aware that Mugabe isn't one of my better creations", said God.

"But it is my profound belief that everyone - believers and none-believers alike - deserves a second chance. Feeling generous this morning, I decided old Mugs possibly deserved slightly more".

The decision comes amid speculation that God was shortly about to remove Mugabe from power, an action which the Zimbabwe dictator himself admitted was at least possible.

Mugabe's extension as President has angered the MDC leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, who today announced his campaign was underway ahead of the 2093 Presidential Election.

"I urge the population of Zimbabwe to make its collective voice heard in 2093", said Tsvangirai.

"That is if Zimbabwe still has a population by then".

Meanwhile, leaders from around the globe have criticised God's decision, with US President George W Bush accusing the Lord Above of treachery.

"This is a sad day for democracy", said Bush.

"That extension should have gone to me".
