Clinton told the nation that there is no bitterness between herself and Obama and that she wishes him well in his bid for President.
"I am proud to consider Barack Obama a friend, and to see him driving through the streets of, say, Dallas would be a fitting tribute".
Clinton also urged Michelle Obama to ride alongside her husband and to "get ready for a mind-blowing surprise midway through the parade".
"It's going to be great", said Clinton. "Put it this way, everyone will remember where they were when this historic event took place".
