At a press conference Monday morning, president George Bush again re-iterated his pledge to keep US troops in Iraq "for as long as it takes us to prepare to invade Iran".
Amid fierce attacks from right-wing hawks over the weekend who want troops pulled out of Iraq "so we can get around to all the other places on the list", President Bush remained firm on his stance, pointing out that pulling out of Iraq now would be a huge mistake as "it would be a shame to have come all this way and not make the most of it".
