An incensed Gordon Brown last week called for the Archbishop of Canterbury to be sentenced to 'death by stoning' for his comments regarding Sharia law.

The Archbishop revealed in a radio interview that he believed government should re-examine whether to introduce aspects of Sharia law in the UK, and described such as move as "inevitable".
The comments have provoked a severe backlash from across government. Justice Minister Jack Straw told the Daily Fortnight "There cannot be one rule for some and another rule for others. The Archbishops comments are extremely irresponsible and I hope that he considers withdrawing them".

However, Prime Minister Gordon Brown has gone further. "Sharia law has absolutely no place in a civilised society. I hereby decree that for the crime of disrespecting the leader, the Archbishop is sentenced to death by way of stoning, with immediate effect".
