Desperate: "Will Work for Fee"
Former closet Catholic, Tony Blair, has applied for a vacancy with the European Commission in a desperate bid to make ends meet.

Blair, who took voluntary redundancy in June last year, is reported to be desperate for the extra cash in addition to his job as Middle East envoy, his $5m a year consultants job with JP Morgan, and writing his memoires for a reported fee of $10m.

Blair is reported to have responded to a vacancy in the Luxembourg Gazette advertising for "PRESIDENT (Pay Grade A/B)".
"Sometimes it's difficult, you know, just to put food on the table. Three jobs isn't enough, especially when I have so much time on my hands. I have to find more work somehow, and preferably one that doesn't involve much, you know, work", said Blair, 55.

Blair's Catholicism places an extra burden on the family finances as he has four children to feed, as a result of his bedroom gymnastics while PM.
