Sofa: Suspect
The Labour Party faced fresh scandal allegations today as it emerged that nearly three and a half pounds have gone into Party bank accounts without being declared to Parliament.

The latest claim came to light when auditors failed to find documentary evidence that £3.42 had been declared since being discovered down the back of a sofa in the entrance lobby of Labour Party headquarters. Party officials are now desperately trying to trace the owners of all the bottoms that have graced the sofa over the last five years, in an attempt to find the names of the unwitting donors.

The revelation has sent new shockwaves through Downing Street, as the Prime Minister was still reeling from last week's embarrassing admission of undisclosed donations to the Party.

"This is just the latest in a string of scandals the country has had to endure under this Prime Minister, which simply shows that this government cannot be trusted in its own accounting procedures", said Tory Shadow Chancellor George Osbourne.
