
The plot is as basic and predictable as they come. Prime Minister Brown is assigned by Her Majesty to put an end to terrorist activity in the UK before it threatens to wipe out the entire population.
By a cruel twist of fate he only has 42 days in which to do it - all the while foiled by the collective machinations of the Tories, disgruntled residents and al Qaeda themselves.
The film boasts a huge cast, including 3,000 extras who were drafted in to play terrorist suspects.
'42 Days Later' addresses several issues, including questions of how the government plans to cope with fake terror suspects looking to make bogus claims for compensation.
